I'm still recovering from having my baby New Year's Eve. My good friend did my Rite Aid and Giant Eagle shopping for me this past week. Thank you so much. My husband went to Walmart and picked up my newspapers from Dollar Tree. And Saturday night I took a short trip to Walgreens.
First, my Rite Aid acquisitions:
(Pictured above are most of the items I got from Rite Aid this week.)
Rite Aid
Spent OOP: $14.62
Store Coupons: $72
Manuf Coupons: $43.98
Rebates: $10
Real Cost to My Family: $4.62
Total Value of Products: $130.60 (I just used the sale value of the items.)
Total Saved: $125.98
% Saved: 96.46%
Cumulative Spending at Rite Aid for 2010: $(32.73)
Pictured above is what I purchased from Walgreens. I started out with no Register Rewards (I made sure they all got spent so that none would expire while I was in the hospital.) I left with $4 in RR.
Walgreens
Spent OOP: $3.40
Store Coupons: $20.31
Manuf Coupons: $29.48
Total Value of Products: $53.19
Total Saved: $49.79
% Saved: 93.61%
Cumulative Spending at Walgreens for 2010: $3.40
My husband took my coupons to Walmart this week (just trying to use them before they expired) for a total cost of $0.57 for what you see pictured above.
My 6 newspapers cost $1/1 at Dollar Tree for a total of $6 (no tax).
I wrote out my Giant Eagle shopping list here. http://1faithfulsteward.blogspot.com/2010/01/giant-eagle-17-113.html Total OOP was $35.16 (A huge chunk of my monthly food budget.) But on the up-side I received (or will receive once I get all the CATs straightened out) CATs worth more than I paid. This should offset my food budget for the rest of this month.
Here are my totals for the second week of 2010.
All Grocery and Drugstore Purchases for Week 1/9/10
Total Spent OOP: $59.75
Store Coupons: $111.10
Manuf Coupons: $110.06
Rebates: $10.00
Real Cost to My Family: $49.75
Total Value of Products: $280.91
Total Saved: $231.16
% Saved: 82.29%
Cumulative Value of Purchases for 2010: $400.71
Cumulative Savings for 2010: $388.31
Cumulative Spending for 2010: $12.40
Cumulative % Saved: 97%

Are you going to be trying for Rite Aid rebate 551? Get $35 when you spend $100 on P and G items? Since I'm just starting out, I tend to follow your scenarios to the letter. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteYes, if I can figure out a way to make the P&G products work out to be free at the end of the month, I will definitely be including them in my scenarios. I really like many of the P&G products and am excited about all the potentially free items. I am still working on my scenarios for next week.
