Free Redbox Movie Rental through 3/1

There is a new Redbox code out for a free DVD rental. The code (RBXLUV4U) is good through 11:59 PM central time on Monday, March 1. You can use the code one time per credit or debit card. So . . . if you have more than one card, you can rent more than one movie for FREE.  Thanks Debbie!

Rite Aid 2/28 to 3/6

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video.
  3. Print out and take additional $3/15 coupons and $5/$20 coupons with you. Remember, the $5/$20 coupon is only available after you watch enough AdPerks videos. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. I try to print out at least 20 for the month as I average using around 5 a week. NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months. So if I have any extra I just use them the following month.)
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

THIS WEEK STARTS MARCH'S SCR.

I won a $20 RA gift card from the Game of Life and an eyeshadow (instant win ticket). Share what you've won. I'd love to hear.

Giant Eagle 2/25 to 3/3 Pizza and a Movie!!

With all the snow that we've been getting, our mail has not been consistently getting to our house. I've received mail the past 3 days, but nothing for the previous week+. And right now it's snowing again outside. I had to walk through 3+ inches of newly fallen snow to check our mail today (that was on our previously shoveled paths - of course we have more snow than that on the ground), so I'm guessing that our mail will continue to be sporadic . . . All that to say that I never got my Giant Eagle ad in the mail. I've had to wait until it went up on Giant Eagle's website for me to put these deals together. . . so if you see anything I missed, let me know.
I haven't checked to see what coupons I have yet or how many, but here are the deals to be had:

First, I got early notice from a friend that Tombstone pizzas and Klondike bars would be a great (Tombstone) and good (Klondike) deal this week.  : )

Use the Self Scan Checkout for this deal!!! Thanks to CherryPicker.
6 Tombstones (pg. 3 and pg. 5) 20.5 to 29.51 oz. $10/4 ($2.50/1 - shelf price $5.50/1) = $15.00/6
- $1.50/3 (This coupon prints out after you scan the first pizza. Use it. It only prints at the Self Scan Checkouts - NOT at regular checkouts with a cashier!!) = $13.50/6 OOP
- 2 $4 OYNSO wyb $15 = $5.50/6
- $4 OYNSO wyb $30 = $1.50/6 ($0.25/1) WOW!! Pizza here we come!!
AND get a CAT for a FREE movie from Redbox. (By the way, the movie code (2FRZ25N3 valid till 3/11) that prints out is the same for everyone. It is good for one FREE movie per credit or debit card. Have 5 different cards - get 5 FREE movies.) (My husband actually did this deal for me. . . said it worked perfectly. . . and we now have to find space for 12 pizzas in the freezer!)
(Update: I tried this again tonight and the 2nd Kraft CAT didn't print for me. So be aware, you may be in for a trip to customer service.)
And the Klondike bars . . .
7 Klondike bars (pg. 3) 4 to 6 ct. $10/4 ($2.50/1 - shelf price $4.69/1) = $17.50/7 OOP
- $4 OYNSO wyb $30 = $13.50/7 ($1.93/1)
AND get that same CAT for a FREE movie from Redbox. . . .

(I don't really expect anyone to have 10 of these coupons, but maybe you have enough to still make this a good deal. Note: I don't think the Pittsburgh area received this coupon. We'd have to purchase them and hope they got here in time or that the store sold out of at least one flavor so that we could get a raincheck.)

Rite Aid March SCR Preview 2/28 to 3/27

This week is the last week for Febuary's SCRs. March is just around the corner. You can see a larger version of the booklet here. Thanks so much to SpendingImpairedMomma for this preview.
See anything exciting? Please post a note about it in the comments.

I'll start:
Personally, I'm kind of excited about SCR #54 ($1 SCR wyb 2 Huggies wipes 64-72 ct.). With 2 $0.50/1 Huggies wipes coupons and a good sale price, we should be able to score some really cheap or free wipes! Yeah! I'll be keeping my babies bums clean.  : )  Okay, so I'd be doing this anyway - without a sale, coupons, or a SCR.  : )

Rite Aid 2/21 to 2/27

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video.
  3. Print out and take additional $5/25 coupons and $5/$20 coupons with you.
  4. And finally, don't forget about Rite Aid's new Game of Life promotion that started 1/3/10 and runs through 2/27/10. The point of the game is to collect game pieces to win prizes. There are also specially marked game pieces redeemable for instant prizes. You can read more about the promotion at GameofLifeRulesGameofLifeGameboard, and BonusItemsEarnBonusTickets.
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO PLAY THE GAME OF LIFE and the last week for Febuary's SCRs.

Remember that I won a $20 RA gift card from the Game of Life. So keep collecting those game pieces. And . . . I want to know if you win something.

Only 1 scenario for tonight. And yes, I know that so far I've only spent money this week. I'll have to figure out a good money making scenario to cover the $0.46 from the first purchase.  : )

I was hoping to have a lot more done by tonight, it didn't happen. Yesterday afternoon our 1 and only bathroom had a clogged toilet. After trying to fix it myself for about 30 min. I turned over the job to my husband. About 3 to 4 hours later, he was ready to give up. We both thought that we were getting ready to fork over the big bucks for a plumber (either that or my husband was going to have to take up the toilet and find what was clogging it and then buy a new seal and reattach it - a lot of work.) Turns out that we didn't have to do either as about midnight it decided to flush. (My 3 year old insists that he neither dropped a toy down the toilet nor excessive amounts of toilet paper. . . guess we'll never know.) Still, with no working toilet in the house Rite Aid scenarios took a back seat.  : )  Sunday is always busy for us with church and getting the kids ready and out of the house on time. So you'll have to bear with me. I've got a lot to do tomorrow too, but I'll try to get some more scenarios up by the afternoon/evening.

Rite Aid scenarios resumed:

Purchase #4 (I put all these items together because I am unsure whether or not these are available in all areas or even in my area. Of course I'm hoping that they are 'cause this purchase is what will make my week profitable.)

1 Cetaphil (pg C2 - regional ?) 8 oz $7.99/1
- $2 in-ad coupon = $5.99/1
- $5 (Printable - Go to "tell us who you are" at the bottom of the page. Take survey and get $5 coupon. Now - 2/24/10 - only the $2/1 coupon is left.) = $0.99/1

1 Lamisil (pg. 2 - not in my ad at all) $7.99/1 (Many people are reporting that this rings up at the sale price even in areas where it is not listed in the ad. I have not had the chance to test this in my area yet.) Update: This worked for me!! If you're not sure what to buy, consult the SCR boolet #46.)
- $3/1 (12/13/SS - regional) = $4.99/1
- $6 SCR = MAKE $2.01

1 Renpure shampoo $5.99/1 Update: I found one at my store. Last one they had with a "Try it FREE" tag. However, there were a number with $3 MIR tags.
- $3/1 RA VV coupon = $2.99/1
- possible "Try Me Free" hangtag ($5.99 MIR) = MAKE $3

Total before coupons = $21.97

- $5/20 Rite Aid Video Values coupon
- $13 (in MFC and RA VV coupons)
Total OOP = $3.97 + tax
- $6 SCR
- $5.99 MIR for Renpure
MAKE $8.02 - tax
Get 6 Game of Life tickets

Or, in the purchase above, I might try to add this instead of the Cetaphil. It won't make me any money, but my kids will enjoy it more!
4 Nabisco crackers (pg. 6) 9.5 to 16 oz. $5/2 = $10/4
- 4 $1/1 (1/24/SS) = $6/4
- $2 SCR = $4/4

In conclusion, this isn't the best money making week at Rite Aid. Actually, it may be quite hard if not impossible to make any money this week.

If I am able to complete only the first 3 purchases, then I will spend a total of $1.26 + tax and take home merchandise with a sale value of $67.25. If I'm also able to do purchase #4 as written then I will make $6.76 and take home $89.22 worth of merchandise.

Still my stated goal is:
"All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks."
Even if I end up spending $1.26 this week, I'll still have made money for the month - quite a lot actually.  : )

Snickers at Rite Aid

I'm working on my Rite Aid deals/scenarios for this week, but I just had to give this deal it's own post.

Snickers are B1G1 for $0.01 this week at Rite Aid.

So . . .
6 Snickers bars B1G1 for $0.01 ($0.88/1) = $2.67/6
- 2 $1/3 (02/21/RP) = $0.67/6 ($0.11/1)

Thanks to MavenofSaven.

Then, just for fun . . .  $0.11 is a great price for one, but I wonder . . . if I bought a whole bunch, could I get them any cheaper?

Answer: YES!!

48 Snickers bars B1G1 for $0.01 ($0.88/1) = $21.36/48
- $5/20 Rite Aid Video Values coupon = $16.36/48
- 16 $1/3 (02/21/RP) = $0.36/48 ($0.0075/1)

Now, what would anyone do with 48 Snickers bars. . . . eat them (not all at one time hopefully), share them, freeze them, donate them to a youth group . . .  : )

The bigger question would be: How to get the 16 coupons needed for this deal?

CVS Purex Laundry Deal - Basically FREE

Normally, I don't follow CVS deals. With my kids it's just too hard to keep up with all the stores. But this is just too good to pass up . . . if you have the coupons.

Did you already get your 2/21/RP in the mail? If so clip that B1G1 Purex coupon. Don't get the Red Plum in the mail, then this is one week that you want to make sure you purchase the early edition Sunday paper - on Saturday (and you might want to get several)!

Purex is on sale at CVS, either Purex 3-in-1 20 ct. or liquid 24 to 44 loads. It's on page 1 of their ad - Buy 1 get 2nd for $0.01 (limit 6 with card).

That means buy 2. Use B1G1 coupon (2/21/RP). And pay $0.01 + tax for both!!

Remember that if CVS is out of Purex - Get a Raincheck! (For those of you that can't get the coupon before next week - you might want to stop by your local CVS and just check and hope that they are out of Purex so that you can get a raincheck too.)

OR

If you absolutely can't get the coupon and your CVS isn't out of Purex (ie. no raincheck), you can still get a decent deal.

2 Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets about $5.19/1 (B1G1 for a Penny) = $5.20/2
- 2 $1/1 (1/10/RP) = $3.20/2 (or $1.60/1)

Remember that this ends this SATURDAY!
