Rite Aid 5/2 to 5/8

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. There does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address. . . so sign up your husband, and the rest of your family, and earn more coupons if desired.
  3. Print out and take additional $5/$20 coupons with you. Remember, the $5/$20 coupon is only available after you watch enough AdPerks videos. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. I try to print out at least 20 for the month as I average using around 5 a week. NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months. So if I have any extra I just use them the following month.)
  4. Rite Aid has just rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores.
Wellness+ coupons here for $1/1 any haircare purchase of $10+, $1/1 any skin care purchase of $10+, $0.50/1 any snack purchase of $5+, $1/1 any summer seasonal purchase of $10+.  All exp. 5/15/10.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

So far, everyone who has left me a comment has indicated that they prefer the scenarios. . . . so scenarios it is.  : ) Thank you so much for your comments!! I have enjoyed reading what you had to say. If anyone else wants to add their two cents worth, please do. (Hey, in our world $0.02 can buy you quite a lot - see purchase #1! He, he!!) I hope you got those CoverGirl and Nivea coupons ordered. Also, I think that I'll have to order a bunch of $1/1 any Tide coupons as these are the best filler that I can think of (w/ 20% Wellness+ discount) at $0.03/1. If you don't have the 20% off discount yet, then you can probably get a cheaper filler by buying a piece of candy or something else.

(NOTE about the B1G1 CoverGirl coupon thanks to SlickDeals:
I called covergirl last night at the 1-800 number and asked about the coupon. Sonya was the rep I talked to and she stated that covergirl B1G1 face products should work with all face products - eyes, lips, foundations, blush, etc... She also stated that if a store has an issue that they can call the 800# to verify what the coupon covers. You can speak directly to a representative toll-free, Monday through Friday,  9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST. Call  1-800-426-8374 .)

  1. I don't seem to have the b1g1 cover girl coupon in the red plum 4/11. just wondering if anyone else is missing theirs. since surgery my husband just labels the folder for me and files the coupons. my red plum simply has nothing in it about cover girl.

  2. Debbie,

It was a regional coupon and it wasn't in our Red Plum, neither was the $4 Nivea coupon. But the Nivea coupon was in the Washington Post (possibly the Cover Girl too). In the ad preview I had made a note that we did not get the CG coupon but that we could order it on ebay or a coupon clipping service.

You could substitute either Natures Bounty vitamins or Benevia for the Cover Girl and come out about the same (they're both still B1G1). Or you could order some coupons today and hope they come by Saturday.

I probably should have made a separate post about ordering those coupons, just to make sure that my note was easily seen.

  4. No problem. I know that my mother-in-law in AL got the Cover Girl coupons in her Red Plum. . . if that helps anyone. : )

Also, Debbie, I'm not sure if you get the Washington Post or not, but I know that my local Giant Eagle sells it for $1.50 (I'm guessing that most GE's in our area must carry it). I got 4 of them this past weekend as they had SS, P&G, and RP in them!

  5. does the Post only come out on Sundays? I was wondering if I would be able to go today and buy that Sunday paper.

  6. Debbie, I don't know. My guess is that they would no longer have the Sunday paper, but I may be wrong. I'd call your GE and ask (so you don't make a trip for nothing).

I know that the Sun. early edition of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette (available in stores on Sat.) has all the same coupons that the Sun. paper does. I'm not sure if there is an early Sun. edition of the Washington Post as well.

  7. Hi Erin. If you mean Washington Post, yes, there is an early edition you can get on Saturday which has the sunday coupons.

  8. Hey thanks Sarah!!

Now I just need to make sure my Giant Eagle carries the early edition. It is so much easier for me to pick up papers on Saturday.
