Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 11/7 to 11/13

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card (ie, you can't share +UP Rewards with your friend - unless you also share your Wellness+ card). And the newest big news is that RA has stopped limiting the majority of the +UP Rewards. If a +UP Reward is limited, then it will be clearly stated. So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you.

  5. Print out EXTRA $5 off any purchase of $25 or more coupons HERE (exp. 12/31/10). Coupons will be blurry at first. Give them a minute to finish loading.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

I was able to get to Rite Aid on Sunday and take advantage of all my expiring coupons. It's the first time, that I recall, that I have ever been to RA on a Sunday. Our church is just up the road from RA, so it was a short trip. We need to be at church around 7:30 AM for my husband to get everything set up/meet with the music team. (We only have 1 car, so we all go together . . . very early) Sunday school does not start until 9:00, so my boys and I normally just hang out in the nursery. Not last Sunday. We were at RA when they opened at 8:00.  It was actually kind of nice. I got most of my RA shopping for the week done and out of the way which allowed my mind to move on to next week's deals. And I didn't have to get as many rainchecks. . . Yeah!

This week I got an envelope from corporate for $26 in +UP Rewards! It took less than a week from the time I called to the time my +UPs arrived at my door. Every time that I have had to call the Wellness+ number to get +UPs that didn't print ('cause I had a raincheck) the RA rep. on the other end of the line has been very helpful. Right now I am very impressed with RA's customer service at their corporate and Wellness+ offices.

  2. Babygirl-Pebbles,

Thank you very much for the update.

I'm guessing that RA corporate (if you called) would still send out +UPs for the Crest/Oral-B that doesn't print since there are no limits printed in the ad. Are you aware of anything about this?

  4. Sodbusters, thank you for sharing your scenarios! I have some Purex coupons that were mailed to me that don't expire until the end of the year! If I can get the coupons together in time, I think your 2nd transaction may get added to my shopping trip.

I do have the 3 blade razor coupon, so I'll need to add something to keep my total in the positive.

  5. HOW DO YOU GET THIS MANY MANUF COUPONS.. BY BUYING MORE PAPERS @ 3 /EA OR BUYING INSERTS DIRECTELLY. IF SO WHERE DO YOU BUY THEM ?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Anon. I actually just buy coupons from a site if I need more than 2 couponsbydede.com also I know that Erin has a section on the right hand side for sources to buy coupons.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Anon...if you want to buy inserts, I recommend Ebay or a coupon website...like sodbusters mentioned, Erin has links to several sites posted. However, if you want to just get extra papers, I suggest you find a Dollar store near you and getting there fairly early on Sunday; then it will cost you $1 per insert.
