Rite Aid 2/28 to 3/6

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video.
  3. Print out and take additional $3/15 coupons and $5/$20 coupons with you. Remember, the $5/$20 coupon is only available after you watch enough AdPerks videos. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. I try to print out at least 20 for the month as I average using around 5 a week. NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months. So if I have any extra I just use them the following month.)
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

  4. Hey Erin,

Just got home from Rite Aid. Have you ever had a cashier argue with you about what constitutes a skin care product to use the wellness coupon? I was doing #4 w/o the makeup add the satin care and some other little things, but she said that nothing I had was skin care including the lotion and would not let me use any of my wellness coupons. I should her the policy and she got uglier so I told her to cancel my order and I would go somewhere else. I know that probably wasn't very nice but I wasn't going to pay $8.00 for something that should have cost $2.00. Any suggestions as to how I might of handle this differently?

  5. Thanks Erin, it would have helped if I read all that... I got too excited and just read the scenarios... :)

  6. Debbie,

I haven't had THAT happen to me . . . yet. I have had a manager argue that I was not able to use a MFC and a Rite Aid coupon on each item in a B1G1 deal (4 coupons total - on 2 items). I showed and kindly explained the policy. He was kind back and ended up letting me, but still told me that it wasn't their policy. He is known to my friends and I as the manager who always grumps about our coupons, tells us we can't use this one or that one, but when we insist, always lets us. : )

I did forget to scan my Giant Eagle card tonight when I went to pick up more Tombstone pizzas, so I had to go to customer service. The customer service lady gave me back the money I would have saved with the card - no problem, but when I asked for the catalinas. She insisted that I would not get both catalina deals on the same pizzas. After spending about 15 min. (or at least it seemed like forever) at customer service with my two youngest boys, I came home - 1 catalina short for each purchase and am planning on going back tomorrow when the nice customer service lady is working. : )

So, as for your situation: Sounds like what I would have done. I try to be super friendly and kind (sometimes it is like trying to be friends with a brick wall). And if I'm going to have to pay more than I'm willing to pay, I'm not afraid to walk away and either go to another store or come back when that cashier is not working. I'm also not afraid to return the item/items later (when my boys are with me and I need to take care of them, sometimes I just pay and leave - although I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you have to).

I'm curious. Did she say what would qualify as a "skin care" item?

    'Cause if lotion isn't "skin care" . . .

  7. H.K.

    He, he. No problem.

I need to figure out a good way to condense that stuff so you don't have to wade through it all. . . but that is kind of on the back burner for now. : )
