Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 1/30 to 2/5

New to Rite Aid shopping? Visit the RiteAid page for more information.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

Hold onto your hat . . . or britches . . . or both, please. This is going to be another full week at Rite Aid!

I have a question for everyone. This week I changed the font color of the RA VV coupons to dark orange. Does this help you see them better (so that you know what you have to go print at a glance)? Is there a better color? Other thoughts?

Based on the scenario options with the biggest moneymakers:
If I roll the +UP Rewards from one transaction to the next, I will end up paying a total of $25.31 OOP for products with a sale value of $99.80 (that is if I didn't have any +UP Rewards from previous weeks . . . which, of course, I do). I will have earned $27.53 in SCRs which will get sent to me in check form (that I can cash at the bank) at the end of the month. I will receive a MIR check for $0. And I will have $34 in +UP Rewards left for other purchases this week or next. That's like MAKEing $36.22 on products with a sale value of $99.80!

Just to let everyone know, I'll probably be putting together some more scenarios Sunday or Monday. Check back for them.

  1. I just wanted to add that I did the $20 in UPs when you purchase $50 in products. It was a $41 MM for me. I bought 3 Afrin, 3 Coricidan, 4 colgate and 3 viactiv. I used all the normal coupons (I did use VV coupons for each Afrin and Coricidan purchased) plus I used 3 $1 off any purchase and one $2 bonus coupon. My total OOP was about $20 and I got back $61 in UPS. Of couse that $20 out of pocket was paid with UPs I already had. It just cost me $6-$7 for tax.

  2. Wow! You did great. Congratulations! Let's see, you must be in southern CA if you have already done the deal. :)

So, what do you spend your +UPs on when you find you have just too many to roll? (I'd love to hear anyone's answer to this question.) I'm going into the week with around $110 in +UPs. And I'll end the week with . . . a lot more. : )

Personally, I use them to purchase diapers, cat food, cat litter, and other random things. Currently a new dust pan (mine broke) and swiffer wetjet are on my list.

  3. I have about $145 in UPs now. I want to convert some into cash by buying products with SCRs like the Neuragen and Complete. Most of my UPs don't expire til 2-19 and beyond, so I have plenty of time. I am going to buy the new magic jack on sale next week. A great way to save $ on my phone bill. I will roll some into buying more of the great food stuff on sale. Also, my roomate is out of work and I am buying food and stuff for him also to help out.

  4. Yes, I second the whole converting into cash thing. I too was very thankful to see all the SCRs this week. Cash . . . well I can always use that. Frankly, most of the time we repurpose the cash to help out with our grocery budget or pay bills (there always seem to be unexpected ones that show up).

  5. Also, that cash helps with the OOP cost for our couponing sprees.
