Rite Aid Deals and Transaction Scenarios 10/3 to 10/9

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card. There will be a limit of 1 +UP Reward per card per week (unless otherwise stated). If you have trouble getting the +UP Rewards to print, give RA a call. They are reimbursing the +UP Rewards that should have printed:
    Public Relations Dept.
    Rite Aid Corporation
    Camp Hill, PA
    Office: (717) 975-5713
    eharkreader@riteaid.com (Eric Harkreader)
  5. Print out EXTRA $5 off any purchase of $25 or more coupons HERE (exp. 10/31/10).

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

I didn't get out of the house to do any coupon shopping last week. Tues, my husband's day off, we had family pictures taken and then we went up north to shop the outlet stores. I spent the rest of the week trying to get over being sick.

Also, make sure that you remember to check the expiration dates on your +UP Rewards. They are only good for 2 weeks and you don't want to loose them. Use any that are expiring this week on this week's purchases. Eventually you will have more than you can use on the purchase that I put together. This is when the real fun begins!! : ) You go on a shopping spree, hosted by Rite Aid. And remember to use your coupons while on this shopping spree to make your +UP Rewards go even farther.

AND BIG NEWS: Have you noticed that RA does not have "limit 1" printed under most of the +UP Rewards in this weeks' flyer (or most of last weeks flyer, for that matter). According to Rite Aid corporate office from now on, the +UP Rewards will be unlimited (unless the flyer specifically states otherwise)! So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you. (On pg. 1, right hand corner there is an example of a "limit 1" +UP Reward for Revlon.)

  1. I did this scenario for my mom. For the record, she isn't into couponing as much, but loved the bargain so this is for those that aren't as crazy as us but want a good deal. ;)

    3 TRESemme $10.50
    -$5/3 VV coupon
    - $2 RITE aid coupon book

    1 Crest SCope toothpaste $2.69
    -.50/1 MFC P&G

2 Lindt Chocolate (gotta remember the important things ;)) 2/$5

    1 8pk Viva Towels $6.99
    - $1/1 coupon (from ???)

(I also saw finish dish detergent $2.99 get back $2UP. I think she might want this one over the toothpaste. so I might go with that)

    Before coupons $25.18
    -$5/$25
-MFC= 11.68 get back $2.69, $2, $1 in up rewards. So for her its like paying $5.99 which she likes. :)
