Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 10/31 to 11/6

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card (ie, you can't share +UP Rewards with your friend - unless you also share your Wellness+ card). And the newest big news is that RA has stopped limiting the majority of the +UP Rewards. If a +UP Reward is limited, then it will be clearly stated. So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you.

  5. Print out EXTRA $5 off any purchase of $25 or more coupons HERE (exp. 12/31/10). Coupons will be blurry at first. Give them a minute to finish loading.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

Last week was a great week . . . for diapers, candy, and cheap makeup.

There are a lot of coupons which expire on the last day of October. You have only 1 day to take advantage of those deals! If RA is out of an item, then get a raincheck.

I've had to call RA corporate several times to get +UP Rewards straightened out. I LOVE the +UP Rewards that corporate sends. They don't expire until Jan. 15, 2011!

Providing that I use my +UP Rewards from each scenario to pay for the next, I will have paid a total of $11.39 OOP for products with a sale value of $110.88. I will have earned $6 in SCRs which will get sent to me in check form (that I can cash at the bank) at the end of the month. So, in reality these purchases will have cost my family $5.39 (that is if I didn't have any +UP Rewards from previous weeks . . . which, of course, I did). I will have $6 in +UP Rewards left for next week. That's like MAKEing $0.61 on $110.88 worth of products!

  1. I have a question regarding the Tide coupon that says a different size in Spanish.

If the cashier says it's not for the right size, how would you handle telling her that the Spanish says that it is?

I want to use the coupon yet remain tactful that I'm using it correctly.

    Waiting for your reply,

  2. Is Offer #64 for the Lotion, it for face items? Please help. On St. Ives Skin Care. The book states Apricot Scrub or Collagen Moisrurizer 10 oz., Naturally Clear Cleanser, 6.75 oz. or Naturally Clear Scrub 4.5 oz.

  3. Michelle,

I'd kindly direct the cashier to look at the end of the second to last line. It says "Liquido de 16-68 oz." The cashier should be able to figure out that "Liquido" means liquid.

Just to let you know, the coupon will go through without any beeps or issues.

  5. Babygirl-Pebbles,

I must have missed your comment when I answered Michelle last night. (I think you posted while I was answering her.)

The St. Ives . . . I've got to go out to RA later today - so I'll double check. I thought that at least one of the St. Ives products - the Moisrurizer in particular - was a lotion. And therefore the lotion coupon could be used on it. If you find out otherwise before I do, please let me know so that I can edit the scenario. Thanks.

  6. The $5 up rewards wyb $30 select Diabetes deal, do you have to do it all in one transaction?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Sodbusters,

It is my understanding that you do not have to do it all in one transaction. In fact, it was active prior to this week. You may already have money towards the deal . . . although I am not sure how you would go about finding this out.

  8. @Erin and sodbusters, the up reward do not print unless you buy all $30 in 1 transaction. The Rite Aid rule is...your wellness card was to keep track of your purchase. It is not, so I called 1 800 Rite Aid and they is mailing me the $5 up rewards. Something is wrong with this offer. My Sister purchase $30(1 transaction) and the up reward print for her today.

  9. Babygirl-Pebbles,

Thanks for the update. I added a note about this to the scenario post in case others are wondering too.

Also good to know that if we want to do it in separate transactions, we'll still get the +UP - we just have to call corporate and ask for it.
