Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 10/24 to 10/30

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card (ie, you can't share +UP Rewards with your friend - unless you also share your Wellness+ card). And the newest big news is that RA has stopped limiting the majority of the +UP Rewards. If a +UP Reward is limited, then it will be clearly stated. So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you.

  5. Print out EXTRA $5 off any purchase of $25 or more coupons HERE (exp. 12/31/10). Coupons will be blurry at first. Give them a minute to finish loading.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

This week starts the beginning of November's SCRs and VV coupons. Remember to pick up a new SCR booklet in the store when you go.

I'm thankful for last week. The large box of diapers was very welcome as well as all the Old Spice (deodorant in particular - as that is all my husband uses). We were on our last deodorant and if a sale didn't come up, I was going to have to spend money on some - GASP!

For those of you who have rainchecks for Udderly Smooth lotion, they are now B1G1! That means for every one that is on your raincheck, you get 2 FREE . . . no a $1 money maker and another one free! Also, if anyone has yet to buy the Tena underwear (for the MIR), this would be a great week to do that. FREE after rebate with $3 +UP Reward. And don't forget the MFC (or Printable) too!

B1G1 deals on pages 6 & 7 are good until NOVEMBER 20!! Make sure you save these pages for future reference.

November's SCRs started this week and the November VV coupons are now available to earn.

How are you all doing on keeping track of your +UP Rewards? Have you had any trouble with them?

If the cashier scans a +UP Reward that for some reason you do not end up using, that +UP Reward will no longer scan (ie. be able to be used). Make sure you either get the cashier to make a note on the +UP Reward so that you can use it at a later date at that store, you use it immeadiantly on another transaction, or you call RA corporate as soon as you get home (explain the issue, give them the numbers under the barcode of your +UP Reward, and they'll send you a replacement).

  1. Oh! I am so glad you did this today! I think I am going to have to buy 6 papers tomorrow. LOL

  2. That's what I was thinking. I needed to start thinking through things so that I could plan for tomorrow. : )

Now, my goal is to get more/all scenarios done before the evening is over . . . we'll see if that happens. (I can already pretty much tell you that not all the scenarios will get done - that's just wishful thinking.)

  3. I got 2 -5 up rewards for 2 Nivea and 9 - 2 up rewards for the Alka-Seltzer + 10 when I spent 30 dollars. Also watch out for the 20% wellness discount. Alka-Seltzer on sale for 5 but the wellness discount (20%) made it 4.39. Be careful in your end results.

  4. Sigh, broke my own rule about not shopping on Sundays cause I had to go out anyway, and they are already all out of the Alka stuff. :(

  5. Thanks Babygirl-Pebbles!!
I'm SO glad you said something about the Wellness+ discount. I'll make sure I note that in my post. I would have been one of those people who didn't notice until the transaction was complete and then I would have wondered where the $10 +UP was.

    Sodbusters,
Yeah, Saturday I checked to see how many Alka-Seltzers were on the shelf, not a ton . . . I figure that my store is out now too. But I know that the truck comes in on Thursday morning and my main store has been trying hard to stock the heavy sellers really WELL. I'm expecting that they will have more in on Thursday. I'm planning on getting my shopping trip in Thursday night. If they happen to still be out, I'll just get a raincheck. To me, it's really no big deal. If I get a raincheck, they'll either give me a gift card(I haven't actually gotton one yet, but others reported getting one), adjust the price on the spot, or have me call RA corporate and corporate will send me the +UP Rewards that I should have earned (The ones that corporate sends out don't expire till 1/15/11!). So either way, I'll still make my money . . . if not this week . . . then another week. :)

  6. That is so cool Erin that your store does that! Good for other couponer's to know! Ours has a policy that once they are out that is it. They did rainchecks on the free after rebate stuff but not up+ rewards. :( :)

LOVE the diaper deals. I need pullups really bad and hoping it'll work similar as well.

  7. Sodbusters,

Your store won't write you a raincheck for ANY item that had a +UP Reward on it? Seems to me like they would/should at least write you a raincheck for the sale price (not including the +UP Reward). : ) And if they do this . . . then they should hit the raincheck key when you go into actally buy the item (once they have it back in stock, of course). And if they hit the raincheck key, then you can call RA corporate and request your +UP Rewards yourself (the phone number to call will be on the bottom of your receipt)!

  8. And Sodbusters. . .

    Just for you, I've included a link for $2/1 Pullups! : )

  9. awwwwwwwwww thanks for the pull up link!

I'll see about the up rewards but last time they wouldnt let me. :P

  10. Your're welcome. Let me know what they say.

  11. Got a question for you-
    Purchase #8
    7 Gillette Fusion Pro-Series Shave Gels $4.49/1 = $31.43/7
    - 7 $2/1 Gillette ProSeries Skin Care Item, exp. 10-31-10 (P&G 09/26/10) = $17.43/7"

My coupon states that only 4 like coupons allowed per transaction. Does this say on yours? I am just wondering if its a regional thing.

  12. Purchase #1: If you don't have enough $3/1 for the Alka Seltzer, there is also a $1/1 in the 10/24 RP.

Here's a variation on purchase #2 using the $4/20 RA VV coupon. Sorry if the format is off! ;)
    2 Nivea
    -2 $1/1 Body Lotion
    1 pk diapers
    - $2/1 Huggies
    -$4/$20 RA VV coupon
Total comes to $12.97 and you get $12 UP rewards back. Not a moneymaker, but it's like getting a pack of diapers for 97 cents plus the lotion works for me! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sodbusters,

Wasn't sure what you were talking about. . . but I finally figured it out. Yes, my coupons say that too. So you can only use 4 - I'm not sure if the +UP Reward tracks how much you have spent of not (I know that some of them do track - so that you can split the purchase up over several orders - and some of them don't). Using only 4 MFCs, you would need 5 RA coupons to make the purchase a $1.57 moneymaker. With 4 coupons the purchase costs $1.43. With 2 coupons, it costs $7.43.

    Erin

  14. Mrs. Dan,

: ) $0.97 is great for a pack of diapers and lotion! You catch on FAST!

  15. Cheap pregnancy tests scenario:

    2 EPT packs 13.99/ea = 27.98
    - 2 $5/1 coupons I found here: http://dealseekingmom.com/5-off-e-p-t-pregnancy-test-printable-coupons/ (I don't know how to link to them without linking to that blog)

With the $5/25 coupon OOP is $12.98 and you get $3 UP rewards for each pack so it's like getting two packs for $6.98!

    ReplyDelete
  16. The link I gave prints a $3/1 coupon not a $5/1 coupon like the blog post said.... but never fear, there are $5/1 coupons for EPT in the 9/12 SS! :)

  17. WOOT! Mrs. Dan is on a roll! ;)

THanks Erin. I am not sure too. Just want my ducks in a row before I try it you know? ;)
