Rite Aid 8/1 to 8/7

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card. There will be a limit of 1 +UP Reward per card per week.
  5. Print out EXTRA $5/$25Coupons (Thanks to Debbie!). They are good for the entire month of August!

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

It's the beginning of a new week, a new month, and a NEW RITE AID RULE! Starting today the +UP Rewards will be limited to 1 offer per card.  It will be interesting to see if RA will be like CVS in that I've found many times that CVS's ad will state "limit 1" per card, but once I go into the store and purchase the product, my receipt will say "limit 2." (NOTE: Some are reporting that a few of the +Up Rewards DO print multiple times.) Also, the +UP Rewards will be tied to the card on which they were earned (at some RA's this is already in effect). So for example, you will not be able to use the +UP Reward that your mom/sister/friend earned on their card to pay for something using your card.

If for some reason you have trouble getting the +UP Rewards to print, give RA a call. They are reimbursing the +UP Rewards that should have printed.

Okay, this is where we are going to be doing things differently again. : ) Since, we have to use those +UP Rewards and we don't want to really "spend" any money, we are not going to give them our MFC first. (+UP Rewards can not be used to cover tax . . . MFC can!)

So, the totals for this week are $138.94 worth of sale priced products. After all SCRs the total cost for the week will be $0.99. That means that this is not a money making week . . . this week (but I'm thinking that $1 for everything isn't so bad either).  : )  Oh, and don't forget that if you completed the Oral care SCR, you just earned a $10 RA gift card. So maybe it is a moneymaking week after all . . .

  1. I really want to try this but I do not have the Staphaseptic or the dr scholls for her coupon so I'm thinking oop for me will be around 6.03 does that sound right? This will be my first atempt doing so many purchases hope I do it right!

  2. Oh ftr- The $5/$25 coupon beeped for me. So there is a possibility that if you use your wellness card, it will read it as already been used.

It shouldnt but it did. :P

  3. agrokitty,

On purchase #5, I know it's hard to see, but that's actually a -$0.03. So if you don't have those 2 coupons, after $6 in +UP Rewards, your OOP cost would be $5.97 plus tax.

I hope your shopping trip goes very well for you. I remember the first time that I attempted to do a lot of purchases . . . it didn't go so well for me. I found that I do best when I allow myself some regrouping time between my purchases. Sometimes I'll do two purchases back to back and then allow someone else to go in front of me (if someone is waiting I always allow them to go first - this gives me extra time to make sure everything is in order). Or if no one is around, I'll ask the cashier if it is okay for me to take what I've already purchased to my car or just tell her/him that I need to regroup. The cashiers at my Rite Aid know me very well. They just smile. Sometimes I can't fit everything into the cart. I've been known many times to take a couple of transactions up to the front and pay for them. Then leave them behind the counter with the cashiers and go shopping again. Anyway, let me know how it goes.

  4. Challice,

Hmm, I'll have to watch that. I used that $5/$25 coupon multiple times last week with no problems at all (in fact, the cashier complimented me on how well ALL my coupons scanned).

  5. I used the $5/$25 last week a couple of times and just used it again 3X with no problems. I have 2 more puchases to get, so we will see what happens. I was able to print (2) $5/$25 from RP that don't exp until Dec. You have to use zip code 43601. Not sure if it is still available.
