Hello wonderful readers! Unfortunately, I will not be able to get a Giant Eagle posting out this week. I'm housesitting with a lack of internet access, and it seems I don't have the entirety of available coupons cataloged in my head. Bummer. Anyway, look for a posting NEXT week.
Feel free to comment with any deals you find in my absence! It will be a great help to your fellow Giant Eagle shoppers. God bless and have a Happy New Year!

Last Week's Shopping Trips
I skipped Giant Eagle entirely last week. Since we are going out off town next week (by the time this posts, we will have already left town) I didn't want things to spoil in the fridge while we were gone. Plus, it was not an exciting week at the grocery store anyway. . .
Rite Aid wasn't as exciting as in weeks past either, but I still went. : ) Above you can see my first haul. 4 transactions total, never paid more than $1 after previously earned +UPs on any transaction, and of course I am still using my RA gift card to pay - so $0 OOP! I left with more +UPs than I walked in with. : )

Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 12/26 to 1/1
New to Rite Aid shopping? Visit the RiteAid page for more information.
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.
**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.
I know that many of you no longer have any $5/$25 coupons left. For those of you who do still have this coupon, this is the last week that the coupon is good. Be sure to take advantage of the deals this week.
I went ahead and organized everything into purchases of $25 or more. For those of you who no longer have the $5/$25 coupon, I'm trying to make each transaction FREE (or very cheap) after +UP Reward and coupons. Those of you who do have extra $5/$25 coupons will just come out an extra $5 ahead on each transaction!

Last Week's Shopping Trips
Last week was a pretty good week for me. I was able to make it to several different stores. I spent more than normal, but I'm pleased with my purchases.
I made it to Giant Eagle once . . . but I forgot to take a picture before I put my purchases away. I came this close to taking everything back out so that I could take a picture, and then I realized how silly this would be. I spent $16.45 OOP. I purchased a whole ham and a lot of other things. When/if I find my receipt, I'll type them up here. I also spent $40+ change on 20 lbs. ground beef (95% lean) thanks to a friend : ) who had a raincheck for an unlimited amount at that price.
I made it out to Rite Aid on two different days. My purchases can be seen in the two pictures below. 7 or so transactions on the first day and 5 different transactions on the second day. I never payed more than a $1 on any transaction AND I used a Rite Aid gift card (which I earned a while back) to pay for every transaction. So really, it cost me nothing OOP. I earned money after SCR and +UP Rewards - over $50!

I also made it to a couple of other stores last week. . . . but I'm not going to list them here or post pictures. They were Christmas gifts for friends and family. But let's just say that my very frugal shopping methods were employed at those stores as well. : )

It's Mega Swag Bucks Friday!
Wish there was a frequent flyer mile for surfing the web? Now there is! SWAG BUCKS are digital dollars that you earn by searching the web, and shopping at your favorite online stores. It's FREE, easy, and fun, and the PRIZES are amazing! Click here to get started!
Every Friday is Mega Swag Bucks Day, which means better odds of winning BIG Swag Bucks denominations - up to 10,000 in one search! It's completely Free and Swag bucks can be traded in for rewards such as gift cards, electronics, apparel, household goods and much more!
I love Swag Bucks because I can redeem my points for FREE Amazon gift cards (among other things). This is one way that I've reduced our household spending. I can purchase books for my son's schooling on Amazon. I can purchase diapers (used to do this - no longer need to - I get enough for FREE without Amazon). I can even purchase vacuum bags (Who ever gets coupons for these?). And the best thing about Amazon is that shipping over $25 is FREE too!!
