Rite Aid 3/21 to 3/27

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$20 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video.
  3. Print out and take additional $3/15 coupons (expires 3/31) and $5/$20 coupons with you. Remember, the $5/$20 coupon is only available after you watch enough AdPerks videos. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. I try to print out at least 20 for the month as I average using around 5 a week. NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months. So if I have any extra I just use them the following month.)
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

***This is the LAST week for March SCRs!!***

There are Wellness coupons here (sign in to get them) for $1/1 seasonal purchase, $2/1 cold, flu, or allergy item, $2/1 vitamin purchase, $2/1 cosmetic purchase. All expire 4/3.

For mommas with kids in diapers this is a GREAT week - cheap diapers, cheap wipes, and FREE J&J baby care products!

Purchase #1 [If you don't have a child who needs these, you can always donate them (or give them to a friend who has young kids). Many churches would also be glad to have these for their nurserys. I know that my church has an upcoming parenting conference (by Tedd Trip, author of Shepherding a Child's Heart - a book I'd highly recommend when one is striving to faithfully raise/steward their kids) and is currently asking for donations of diapers and wipes to supply the nurserys.]

(Challice, and others who are only allowed to use 1 like VV coupon/transaction . . . I thought of you guys. I had originally worked this purchase using more than one. . . I went back and reworked it just for you. Hope it helps.)

Purchase #5b (I'm not doing the above purchase - #5a - as I don't need most of those items and they don't make me any money. I would, however, like the paper plates. Here's what I wish I could do, and will/would do if I can find enough coupons.)

10 Dixie plates (pg. 10) $1.99 /1 = $19.90/10
- 10 $0.55/1 Dixie Ultra Paper Plates or Bowls, exp. 4-24 (RP 1/24/10) = $14.40/10

1 filler item of your choice  : )  that costs at least $0.70 after coupons.
(I'm going to purchase 1 Planters peanuts here - $3.49/1
- $1.50/1 in-ad "triple coupon" = $1.99/1)

Total before coupons = at least $20.90 (w/ Planters $24.39)
- $5/20 Rite Aid Video Values coupon
- at least $16.60 (w/ Planters $18.1) (in MFC and RA VV coupons)
Total OOP = $0 + filler + tax (w/ Planters $1.29)
COST $0 + filler + tax (w/ Planters $1.29)

Purchase #6 (using regional "triple coupons" - a Rite Aid advertising gimmic) (Hey, did any of you notice that the Quilted Northern bath tissue, even after "tripled coupon" is still more than what it was on sale for several weeks back. Had to laugh at that. . . )

(You only need $15 worth to qualify for the SCR. That's 5 Planters peanuts. If you've already purchased one, then you only need 4 more. I used 6 in this scenario because it was easy to hit the $20 mark. But if you purchase just 4 you'll end up making money. 4 Planters = $13.96 + $6.04 worth of FREE fillers (J&J baby products, Ester-C, or Reeses). After all coupons you should have an OOP cost of $0.96 - $3 SCR = MAKE $2.04!)

6 Planters peanuts (wrap around "triple coupon" flyer) 10 to16 oz. $3.49/1 = $20.94/6
- 6 $1.50/1 in-ad "triple coupon" (ha, ha) = $11.94/6
- 3 $1/2 Planters Nuts, exp. 3-31-10 (SS 01/24/10) = $8.94/6
(or $1.50/1 Facebook Planters Printable - I'm not using these in my senarios cause I'm planning on getting FREETrailMix at Walgreens with these.)
(also $1/1 peelies on some Planters products at other stores; check at RA)
- $3 SCR #47 = $5.94/6

Total before coupons = $20.94
- $5/20 Rite Aid Video Values coupon
- $12 (in MFC and RA VV coupons)
Total OOP = - $3.94 + tax
- $3 SCR
COST $0.94 + tax

I hope that I didn't confuse you too much this week. Let me know if I need to clarify something.   : )

  1. Is it okay to print multiple VV coupons? I know the $3/$15 ones say one per customer.

  2. The short answer is yes. Some Rite Aids will limit you to one like VV coupon per transaction. (ie. one per customer per transaction) or some will limit you to 1 per visit.

I've spoken with several managers at various Rite Aids around where I live and they are all in agreement that it is not a problem to use mulitple like VV coupons in the same transaction.

If you want, ask your RA manager their policy (note, you might get different answers from different RA managers - ie. might depend on who is working at the time you shop).

RA corporate office has not commented on this issue, even when directly asked. They skirt the question and basically just give your their coupon policy again (linked at top of post).
