Rite Aid Rebate #4 John Frieda Frizz Ease

SCR #4 states that when you purchase 1 John Frieda Frizz Ease styling product you get a FREE shampoo up to $6.99.

In the actual RA March rebate book it shows a picture of a John Frieda Root Awakenings shampoo. This led me to believe that you could get the purchase price of any John Frieda shampoo back (up to $6.99). Or at the very least, you could get up to $6.99 back when you purchased a Root Awakenings shampoo. I put a note to this end in one of my weekly RA posts. But, the rebate was not and is not working like it appeared it should. Many of us, me included, were left wondering why the rebate did not go through. Challice (of Sodbuster'sWeblog) wrote RA to find out why this rebate was not going through. She has graciously allowed me to post the reply RA sent her here.

Dear Challice,
Thank you for your interest in Rite Aid's Single Check Rebates program.

Unfortunately, the Root Awakening item (green bottle) was pictured in error. Only Frizz Ease products will qualify for the Frizz Ease rebate.

If you have already purchased a Frizz Ease styling product (within the March rebate period), you've already qualified for 1/2 of the rebate. All you need to do is go pick up a Frizz Ease shampoo. Don't forget to use $3/1 John Frieda Shampoo or Conditioner, exp. 4-10-10 (SS 03/07/10).
