  1. I did not get a Redplum insert this week in any of my papers. I live just outside of Pittsburgh in the monroeville area.

  2. Manecoarse, thanks for stopping by!

Jackie, your Redplum should have come in the mail. The Pittsburgh area papers do not carry the Red Plum in them but rather we get them direct delivered to our mailboxes. I generally get mine on Tuesday morning - which is kind of nice because I get the insert a little over half a week before it was supposed to come out in the paper. One of the ways you can acquire more Red Plums is by visiting your local Giant Eagle (or other store) and picking up some Washington Posts (on Sundays only). The Washington Post carries Red Plum, Smartsource, P&G, and at times other specialty inserts (of course only on weeks where there is supposed to be said insert). Three things to watch if you are thinking about picking up the Post: First, make sure that the inserts are there before you buy the paper. Too many times I've found that someone has opened up the special ad/insert section and stolen out the inserts. Secondly, ensure that there is actually supposed to be a Red Plum or P&G in the paper that week. : ) And finally, since the Post is a different paper, just be aware that the coupons and their values can be different from what you get in the mail or in the local papers. Often this works to my advantage and often it doesn't. I like to make sure that I pick up both the Washington Post and the Post Gazette every week to make sure I've got options. Actually, I pick up 5 papers each week because I've got 5 people in my family. (Long time ago, when I first started couponing, I read that you should buy 1 paper per person in you family and I have found that to be a very good rule of thumb.)
