Shop 'n Save: Coupon Matchups 6/16 to 6/22

A Shop 'n Save just opened up near us and I'm really just testing the waters to see how much I like and can save at this store. Previously I put together a post of all the things I found out about Shop 'n Save and their coupon policy.

Three main things that you need to take note of: (at least at the Cranberry Twp, PA Shop 'n Save)
     1. Shop 'n Save honors competitor's coupons. (grocery store coupons)
     2. Shop 'n Save doubles coupons up to $0.99. (A $0.75/1 coupon will double to $1.50/1.)
     3. DND coupons are not doubled.

The Kuhn's ad (at least Cranberry Twp, PA) has a $10/$100+ purchase coupon and a $5/$50+ purchase coupon this week that could be used at Shop 'n Save. Both coupons are valid June 15th-21st and are not good on milk, cigaretts, or other items prohibeted by law.

Also, Giant Eagle has been sending out $5/$30+ purchase coupons that could also be used at Shop 'n Save. The Pine Township Giant Eagle also sent out a FREE Market District Pasta ($2.50 value) coupon. Any ideas on which product this could be used for at Shop 'n Save.

  1. Thanks for the matches. Note that the Red Baron Singles coupon says "no doubling"
Also, did you hear about the HUGE sale at Cranberry Shop 'n Save next Thursday and Friday?

  2. Do you know if Naked Juice ever goes on sale or ever has coupons available for it?

  3. I came in from the yard (I've been outside almost all day watching a friend's children and mine.) and I found comments! : )

    Katie, you are very welcome.

Anonymous, no I hadn't heard about the HUGE sale yet? Do tell! And thanks for catching the Red Baron DND coupon (I'll fix that). I'm so used to Giant Eagle doubling all coupons regardless of what they say, I forgot to even look. : )

  4. Anonymous,
The Shop 'n Save just opened here and so I haven't been following them long enough to even know if they carry Naked Juice (I assume that they do). I know I saw it on sale a couple of weeks back (at Giant Eagle, I believe). Also about 3 to 6 months ago, we got coupons for it in the newspaper (expired now). The only coupon I know of right now is for $1/1 Naked Juice Smoothie, exp. 7/31/11 (Mambo Sprouts Book).

  5. I'm Anon.#1,
You are welcome for the DND save. Now for the SALE... Apparently, the staff is expected to work 12 hour shifts next thursday and friday because of the HUGE sale. It sounds like it will include an outdoor market-like sale too. I had been complaining that S'nSave's sales the last couple of weeks have been weak. My insider told me to save my money this week and wait until next week. I guess we will just have to wait and see ! I am loving the competition between GEagle, Kuhn's and S'nSave. I think they are feeling the pressure of the new store. We were personally greeted at Kuhn's on Sunday by the owner and thanked profusely for shopping there. It was fun. Thanks Erin and keep up the good work!

  6. Well I just learned today that the shop n save in greensburg, pa only accept 3 internet coupons per customer per day. This was after i had over 100 dollars in products in my cart. I cant seem to find their coupon policy anywhere over the internet, but if anyone has any experiences or suggestions with this store. please share.

  7. I read an article the other day that said SNS is revamping customer service and in store displays to compete with the more popular chains. However the store as a group can not agree on a coupon policy, so you have to contact your store to find out their individual store policy. I contacted (south fayette) yesterday. The guy was super nice on the phone. I learned this: 3 like coupons in one day, be it IP or insert, DND do not double, yes they take compet coupons, no limit to how many coupons in one visit as long as more than 3 are not the same. I have never shopped SNS, been scanning their ads for a while though and I'm hoping that since Erin is now doing match ups, she can find deals that I have been unable to do alone! Although the DND and no more than 3 like coupons in one day make it a bit more challenging than GE for me.

  8. I am ANON#1
I just got back from SNS Cranberry and got the flyer for the "2 Day Super Saver Sale" next Thursday and Friday. It does look like it is going to be pretty good. Not very many coupon matches at first glance but a lot of good sales on fruits, vegs and meat for sure.

  9. Oh my! This is confusing!! I went to a SNS in Bethel Park (first time ever). They DO NOT DOUBLE ANY IP COUPONS, THEY HAVE NO LIMIT TO HOW MANY COUPONS YOU USE...man coupons do double. but they carry my favorite coffee and it was an unadvertised sale!! i took my coupons b/c I always need coffee! Chock full of nuts small can 4.99 used my 75 which doubled to 1.50. not bad for my coffee. my only luxury.

my advice, call your store and ask very specific questions. everyone so far has been really nice, and that counts for A LOT!

  10. Just an FYI...I live right near the Shop n Save in Haymaker Village outside of Monroeville, PA...every month or so they have AWESOME "Two Day Sales" that are often unadvertised...these sales have GREAT prices on lunchmeat, cheese, ground meat, etc., as well as products you could use coupons on as well. These sales are when I stock up on the items there are usually no coupons for!! REALLY good deals!

  11. SNS Internet Coupon Policy found here
    http://www.shopnsavefood.com/about/faqs.aspx
"Does SHOP 'n SAVE have an Internet Coupon Policy?

Yes there is a SHOP 'n SAVE Internet Coupon Policy that is enforced at all stores. Below is an outline of the policies: "FREE" or "Buy One Get One FREE" offers are not accepted.

Coupons with a value greater than $3.00 are not accepted.

    Internet coupons cannot be doubled.

Maximum of (3) coupons can be redeemed per day.

We reserve the right to refuse any coupons that we believe to be photo copied, counterfeit or
    invalid for any other reason.

Coupons must be obtained from a legitimate web site. Examples include but not limited to, couponsuzy.com; redplum.com; coupons.com.

Redemption will be subject to manufacturer's policies. For example: Proctor & Gamble does not accept printed
    internet coupons.

See Customer Service Desk for more details."

Disappointing that IPs are not doubled.... :-(
    * * HAS ANYONE HAD their IPs doubled at the new Cranberry Twp store? * *

  12. forgot to say - thanks for the matchups, very helpful!

  13. Strange, my earlier post disappeared. Did I do something wrong? It was a link to the Internet-printed coupon policy on the SNS website, which says that Internet Printables are not doubled. Given this policy, I'm curious if others have had IPs doubled at the Cranberry Twp store. It makes a difference on the $10 gas deal, since the cpns I have for that are IPs.

  14. Soo happy to finally find a blog that does Shop n Save matchups!!

  15. Thank you SO much for doing PA shop n save matchups! Every site I find only does them for the southern chain!

  16. CT shopper,
I used three peter pan internet coupon at SNS cranberry on Friday and they doubled all three.
The two day sale is in Cranberry the 23rd and 24th. It is a separate green flyer that you have to pick up at the store it didn't come with the new circular in the mail. It does have a ton of deli, meat, seafood and produce that is on sale cheap. Again, I didn't see very many coupon matchups but I would definately suggest doing your shopping there this week.
Erin, how did the appt go on Monday with the adoption people?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks for the info. about the IPs doubling, Anon. Yes I've seen the green flyer - red peppers $.99 per lb!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wow, you guys are great. I've been away from the blog for several days and you all just kind of took care of everything here. : ) Thanks.

CranTwpShopper, your first post disappeared because for some reason blogger had it marked as spam. I unmarked it and . . . it's back.

Anonymous, the adoption appt Mon. went well as far as we can tell. The county (the child is currently in foster care) has to make a final decision in the next couple of weeks. We should know soon whether or not the next couple of months will involve exciting changes to our family or not.

And as if I wasn't busy enough, we left town yesterday to travel to Alabama for a family wedding. My oldest son (4 years) is going to be the ring bearer. We will be here 1 week before heading home. (I did grab the new Shop 'n Save ad as we headed out of town - quite literally.) I will be doing matchups today and the post will go up tomorrow morning. However, due to time restraints and the fact that I have to borrow a computer, I will focus on the highlights first and then fill in with whatever I have time for. You are more than welcome to help out and suggest coupon matchups that I miss.

And finally, when we do get back home I'm going to put together a comprehensive list of all the different Shop 'n Saves you all have mentioned and their varying coupon policies as a reference so that we can hopefully be a bit more informed before we visit a particular store.

    Thanks for all the encouragement!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Erin, thanks for clarifying what happened to my post. And I can confirm that my IP cpns did double yesterday at the Cran Twp store. With the heavy competition so close to them, I wouldn't expect that to change. Gotta love competition.
Thanks for the matchups, and enjoy your trip.
