Rite Aid: New Coupon Policy

(NOTE: Not all Rite Aid's have gotten/changed over to this new policy yet.)

Yesterday Rite Aid released a new coupon policy (found here). The major changes are that you will no longer be allowed to use a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale. You will only be allowed to use 1 cents off coupon on a B1G1 sale. (What's not clear is whether or not you can only use a $1/1 coupon or if a $1/2 coupon is allowed on a B1G1 sale. Also unclear is whether or not you will be allowed to stack a RA coupon with a MFC on a B1G1 sale). In addition, a limit of 4 like coupons is now going to be imposed.

These changes will greatly affect my shopping at Rite Aid, as well as yours I'm sure. I really like my store and have been very glad to give them my business. I have been shopping Rite Aid almost exclusively (and 1 grocery store) for the past 2 years. I do not plan on avoiding Rite Aid due to these changes, however, I will probably start branching out more. I've heard that Walmart is becoming more coupon friendly; the Walgreens up the street from me has always been coupon friendly, and my local CVS is pretty good too. All 3 of those stores will accept a B1G1 coupon on a B1G1 sale (some Walmarts will price match a B1G1 sale and then accept a B1G1 coupon making them both free).

Please let Rite Aid know how you feel about the new changes. In the past, Rite Aid has listened to their customers. Maybe they will this time as well. You could leave a comment on their Facebook page. You could call them at 1 (800) 748-3243 or (717) 975-5713. You could email them. Or you could do all 3.  : )

  2. Well, I posted on Facebook. However, I just want to comment that angry or insulting comments will NOT help. If you're going to speak to RA, PLEASE be reasonable, not irate.

  3. I've still got to write them myself. I posted this yesterday and then life (more like 3 little boys) took over.

  4. Agree Katie.

I have a feeling that the TLC show, Extreme Couponing, is going to affect a lot of new policy's and whatnot. :(
