Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 4/10 to 4/16
New to Rite Aid shopping? Visit the RiteAid page for more information.
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.
**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.
I'm excited about this week. I was actually getting low on the really good shampoo/conditioner (notice I didn't say shampoo/conditioner in general)!
Purchase #1 (The Biore and John Frieda are part of the same +UP deal. This is tracking, so you can divide your purchases between different transactions and/or stores. ALSO, your Wellness+ discount will affect this scenario.)
2 Biore Pore Strips (pg. 4) $7.99/1 = $15.98/2
2 Biore Cleanser (pg. 4) $7.99/1 ?? (NOTE: The more expensive the better.) = $31.96/all
[- 20% Wellness+ discount ($6.39/1) = $25.56/all]
- 2 FREE Biore Cleanser wyb Biore Pore Strip, exp. 5-31-11 (SS 03/06/11) = $15.98/all
[** - $1/1 Biore Product (inside select Biore Pore Strips boxes - check the boxes you are buying at the register)**]
- $10 +UP Reward wyb $20 = $5.98/all
($11.96 towards $10 +UP Reward wyb $20 select items)
2 John Frieda Shampoo, Conditioners, and Stylers (pg. 1) (reg. retail $5.99 to $6.99) $20/4 = $10/2
- 2 $2/1 John Frieda Product, exp. 4-30-11 (SS 03/06/11) = $6/2
[or $2/1 John Frieda Full Repair Styling Aid, exp. 4-30-11 (SS 03/06/11)]
[or $1/1 Select John Frieda Full Repair Items, exp. 4-30-11 (SS 03/06/11)]
[or $1/1 John Frieda Full Repair Item Mar. RA VV coupon]
[or $1/1 John Frieda Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Mar. RA VV coupon]
- $10 +UP Reward wyb $20 = MAKE $4
(NOTE: If you have a Wellness+ discount your total will probably be below $20/all and the +UP Reward will not print on its own. You will need to call customer service to get it mailed to you.)
Total before coupons $41.96 (with no Wellness+ discount)
- $3/$15 RA survey coupon
- $2 off $10 Hair Care Purchase Apr. RA VV coupon
- at least $19.98 (in MFC and RA coupons)
Total OOP $16.98 (if you have the survey coupon and VV coupons)
earn 2 $10 +UP Rewards from Biore/John Frieda
(like MAKEing $3.02 on everything in this scenario!)
(NOTE: Remember, if you have a Wellness+ discount your second $10 +UP Reward will most likely not print and you will need to call customer service to get it mailed to you.)
Purchase #2 (This scenario assumes that you have 20% Wellness+ discount. If you don't, just leave off the Visine.)
1 Visine Eyedrops (pg. 3) 15 ml. $5.99/1
- 20% Wellness+ discount = $4.79/1
- $2 in-ad coupon = $2.79/1
- $2/1 Visine Product, exp. 6-30-11 (RP 03/13/11; Printable; Printable; Printable) = $0.79/1
[and/or - $1/1 Visine "A" Apr. RA VV coupon; online Visine "A" was $5.99/1 0.5 oz.]
- $1 +UP Reward = MAKE $0.21
(NOTE: 0.5 oz = 15 ml. - So the above coupons are good.)
2 Old Spice Fresh Collection Body Wash (pg. 5) 16-18 oz. $2.99/1 = $5.98/2
- B1G1 Old Spice Fresh Collection Body Wash wyb Fresh Collection Product, exp. 4-30-11 (P&G 04/03/11) = $2.99/2
[or B1G1 Old Spice Odor Blocker Body Wash (P&G MIR Booklet)]
- 2 $2 +UP Rewards (Limit 2) = MAKE $1.01
OR
2 Gillette Body Wash (pg. 5) 16-18 oz. $2.99/1 = $5.98/2
- B1G1 Gillette Bodywash, exp. 4-30-11 (P&G 04/03/11) = $2.99/1
- 2 $2 +UP Rewards (Limit 2) = MAKE $1.01
4 Mars Single Serve Easter Candy (pg. 16) $1/2 = $2/4
- 2 $1/2 Mars Easter Product, exp. 4-24-11 (RP 03/20/11) = FREE
1 AMO Complete Multi-Purpose Solution (pg. 12) 12 oz. $7.99/1
- $1/1 Complete Multi-Purpose Solution, exp. 5-9-11 (SS 04/03/11) = $6.99/1
- $7.99 SCR #24 = MAKE $1
Total before coupons $20.76
[- $3/$15 RA survey coupon - if you have one - I'm going to assume that you don't for this scenario.]
- $9.99 (in MFC coupons)
- $10 in +UP Rewards from Purchase #1
Total OOP $0.77 + tax (Remember to use previously earned +UP Rewards to lower your OOP costs.)- $7.99 SCR = MAKE $7.22
earn $1 +UP Reward from Visine
earn 2 $2 +UP Reward from Old Spice/Gillette
(like MAKEing $2.22 on everything in this scenario!)
If I roll the +UP Rewards from one transaction to the next, I will end up paying a total of NOT MORE THAN $17.75 OOP for products with a sale value of $62.72 (that is, if I didn't have any +UP Rewards from previous weeks . . . which, of course, I do). I will have earned $7.99 in SCRs which will get sent to me in check form (that I can cash at the bank) at the end of the month. I will receive a MIR check for $0. And I will have $15 in +UP Rewards left for other purchases this week or next. That's like MAKEing at least $5.24 on products with a sale value of $62.72! (It should be noted that you could make more if you have more than one $3/$15 survey coupon or if you use more VV coupons. Your OOP costs could also be a lot less.)

So glad to be back in the swing of things! Glad you are too! Your blog is definitely the most helpful!
Thanks for everything
Sodbusters, on that Mitchum deodorant . . .
ReplyDeleteIs $3.99 the shelf price?
ie. $3.99 - 20% discount = $3.19 x 2 = $6.38/2
- $5 RA coupon = $1.38/2
- 2 $0.75/1 MFC = FREE or MAKE $0.12
Breana, you did GREAT! I'm still trying to figure out how you got all that for just $1.06 after +UPs.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to be back to normal around my house. Hmm, and glad it's spring. : )
