A couple of notes to start with:
- Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
- Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
- Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
- Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card (ie, you can't share +UP Rewards with your friend - unless you also share your Wellness+ card). And the newest big news is that RA has stopped limiting the majority of the +UP Rewards. If a +UP Reward is limited, then it will be clearly stated. So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you.
Public Relations Dept., Rite Aid Corporation, Camp Hill, PA

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.
**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.
Last week was a GREAT moneymaking week! My Rite Aid was out of some items, but I got rainchecks for them. (I think I wore out the cashier's hand . . . he, he . . . but he was very good natured about it. Truth be told, Katie had just been to the same Rite Aid, and he'd had to write out rainchecks for her too . . . )
Keep your +UP Rewards where you can find them. There is nothing worse than letting them expire simply because you misplaced them. I keep my +UP Rewards in my wallet. I simply put them all together, right behind the cash I carry.

$3/1 Oscillococcinum Oct. RA VV coupon--- I believe this coupon is good for 6-12 ct and the ones on sale are 3 ct so this can't be used.
ReplyDeleteThe Oscillococcinum VV won't work because it's for a higher count product than the one for the SCR.
ReplyDeleteUsing it would be coupon fraud.
Scenario I did cause I need some UP+ rewards. I have none this week. LOL.

ReplyDeleteAlso, if you have already used your OCT Huggies ADPERK coupon (Like I have) There is a $1 off any purchase coupon. :)
Jamie and Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing that out. I try to make sure that I always use coupons correctly, but it is almost inevitable (considering how many times I get interrupted . . . 3 boys . . . need I say more) that at sometime something will slip by and get posted. That's when I need my readers to help me catch and correct it. Thank you both very much.
Sodbusters,
Thanks for the wonderful scenario. Now you got me to thinking. I'm going to have to take another look at the Old Spice. : ) And thanks bunches - I'll make sure to ad the $1/off purchase coupon.
@Sodbuster...not sure how you got .45-1.45.
ReplyDeleteI got 399x5=19.95 + 5.49=25.94
use 5/25.00
5/3.00 Nivea
2.00 ad and 1.00 coupon
I get 2.44...ok, ok, I see the extra 1.00 vv
Is this what you did?
Babygirl, if I get 20% wellness OFF of the Nivea deal (not sure if I do) then that is -$3.99 from $19.95
ReplyDeleteSo if you do it this way
$3.99x5= $19.95- $3.99 20% off=
2 Oldspice 2/$6 (with Wellness card so that shouldnt give a discount)
-$3BOGO
Clean and Clear $5.49 - 20% off $1.10 roughly =$4.39
Subtotal = $26.35
-$5/$25 coupon and all others
actually = .35
OK, just got back from Rite Aid. Purchase 4. $3.99 is with the wellness card which will bring up up to the needed $15.++ amount you need. :)
ReplyDeleteSodbusters,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on Nivea - $3.99/1 it is.
I took the liberty of going ahead and typing your scenario up and including it with mine above. I also found a $2/1 Clean and Clear MFC.
Erin
COOL! Now is where I tell you that it was Clearasil that has the in-ad coupon and not the clean and clear. BLUSH!

Also that has the $3/1 printable coupon for the Huggie diapers. Its on the Target website but its a manufactor coupon.
Yeah, just noticed that and was coming to update/fix. He, he.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the $3/1 Huggies coupon - updating as soon as I get the Clean and Cle . . . Clearasil fixed. : )
Erin
Ok, did some RA shopping today. These are something that didnt work out too well...
ReplyDeleteThe MFC from the insert for the Thermacare is for the 2ct + not the 1ct that is advertised.
THe Oscillococcinum coupon is beeping therefore our RA wouldnt take it because of the high coupon fraud going around. Just in case someone had a simular thing. I had the $1.50 MFC for the chestal one and it beeped but they were able to manually put the numbers from the coupon in and it went through but not the Oscillococcinum so... heads up on that.
Also the Crest ProHealth For Me is not the right one. The only one advertised is for 5.8oz and the proheath for me is 6.0 oz. :)
Sodbusters,
ReplyDeleteI fixxed the Thermacare - took off the insert coupon - the printable will still work.
Made a note about the Oscillococcinum. If you print out the coupon again - don't cut it out - or print out the pg. that shows all the coupons on the retailer's website, you should be able to take that back into RA and prove that your beeping coupon is not a fraud. They should do a post coupon sale for you.
The Crest ProHealth?? Are you saying that your RA just does not carry a ProHealth For Me in the 5.8 oz size? I checked all the coupons and they should work fine.
Thanks for all the updates. They are VERY helpful to the rest of us, not to mention ME!! : )
Erin
