A couple of notes to start with:
- Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
- Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
- Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
- Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card. There will be a limit of 1 +UP Reward per card per week (unless otherwise stated). If you have trouble getting the +UP Rewards to print, give RA a call. They are reimbursing the +UP Rewards that should have printed:

eharkreader@riteaid.com (Eric Harkreader) - Print out EXTRA $5/$25Coupons. They are good for the entire month of Sept! These Expire 9-30-10!
All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.
**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.
Just in case you happened to be in need of toothbrushes (I'm NOT!), you won't need any after this week. : ) We'll just call this toothbrush week. There is one toothbrush that I want very much though - that is the stages toothbrush. We don't get children's toothbrushes very often (for completely FREE), so that one is very welcome at my house!
Also, make sure that you remember to check the expiration dates on your +UP Rewards. They are only good for 2 weeks and you don't want to loose them. Use any that are expiring this week on this week's purchases. Eventually you will have more than you can use on the purchase that I put together. This is when the real fun begins!! : ) You go on a shopping spree, hosted by Rite Aid. And remember to use your coupons while on this shopping spree to make your +UP Rewards go even farther.
Oh, and if you have a raincheck for Veet (I still do. . . I know that was a while ago) this would be the perfect week to buy them. They were not on sale, but there was a $3 in-ad coupon. This week they are B1G1 50% off and wyb $15 you get a $5 +UP Reward. : )

Hi,
ReplyDeleteSo is the Johnson & Johnson/Desitin VV coupon a one time use or multiple? I haven't printed it yet and wanted to know to plan my scenario. My store has let me use more than one in the past, but I'd like to know ahead of time.
Thanks,
Michelle - in Ohio
Erin,
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me if J&J Vido Values coupon is one time use or not (short or long bar code)?
Thanks,
Michelle
Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how I missed your comment from earlier. I try to check regularly and I thought I had . . . obviously something went wrong on my end.
The J&J VV coupon is a one time use only. If your husband/mother/sister/etc also has a VV account, you should be able to use their coupon too in the same transaction. (NOTE: Some RAs may not let you do this, but many will.)
I hope this has not come too late.
Erin
short bar code
ReplyDeleteYeah. I wasn't sure the comment section was working that's why I sent two. Sorry to be a pest. You just seem to be so well versed on RA protocol.
ReplyDeleteI found out the hard way that they wouldn't take more than one. I think if the other manager would have been there he may have overridden it. I have to figure out how much the items cost me since I could only use one VV coupon. I may end up and return them. It sure was nice before they put a limit.
Thanks for the answer.
- Michelle
Ahh yes, the no-limit days. . . .
