The Ultimate Walgreens Shopping Trip
Ok, so you may think that you know how to shop Walgreens, but you haven't seen anything until you've seen this.
Christie, over at BigFatPiggyBank just made the ultimate Walgreens purchase. She did 35 separate transactions - yes 35! Spent a total of $0.24 OOP. And MADE $218.76 in RRs!!!
I'd like to see someone top that!

Walgreens 1/31 to 2/6
Walgreens is decent this week. My middle son (he's 14 months) loves Keebler club crackers. When he sees them his whole face lights up. I think he might prefer them to cookies. So, I will definitively have to go by Walgreens this week . . . just for Josiah.
I’m going to break down each transaction so that you can see exactly what coupons to use and in what order. I write up a list like this for me to take to the store. Without it, too much can happen to distract oneself and I would end up paying a lot more OOP than necessary.
Once again, my personal goal is to spend as little money as possible OOP. Therefore, all my scenarios will reflect this. It’s kind of like a game to see how much I can get for how little.
**If you are new to shopping at Walgreen's, make sure you read THIS first as Walgreens has many coupon rules that you will need to be familiar with to get the best deals.**
I'm assuming that you already have RRs to spend, but if not purchase #1 will get you started without costing you anything.

Another Possible Rite Aid Scenario
A friend sent me this email with a great Rite Aid scenario:
Thought you'd be interested in my deals at Rite-Aid today.
I did 2 orders so I could use 2 $5 off $25 coupons.
1st order:
3 Aleve, used 3 $2 coupons from coupon.com
1 Total Advance, used $1 coupon
used $5 off $25
Paid $14.96
3 Aleve, used 3 $2 coupons from coupon.com reset today and 2 $2 video value coupons
2 Chex Mix, used $1 video value coupon and 2 $.50 coupon.com
used $5 off $25
Paid $8.95
Total paid for 2 orders $14.96 + $8.95 = $23.91
I will receive a $25 gift card for SCR #550
The best thing is my mom uses Aleve everyday. I just scored free for the next 7 months for her, plus a toothpaste and Chex mix. I love this couponing thing sometimes.

A New Month: Don't Forget To . . .
It's the beginning of a new month and there are so many things to do!
- Coupon sites have just released a fresh batch of new coupons (and reset others). Check out Coupons.com, RedPlum.com, and Smartsource.com to view the new coupons. Go ahead and print the ones that you know you will use to make sure you get the coupon before the overall print limit is reached.
- Upromise.com has released its new set of e-coupons. Make sure that you go add all of them to your account so that if at any time during the month you happen to purchase that item (the item has to be purchased at a store that Upromise tracks, ie. one with a store card), you will be able to earn extra college savings.
- RiteAidVideoValues has a new set of ads that you can watch to earn a $5/20 coupon plus coupons on individual products.
Track Spending With Me Through 2010! Week of 1/30/2010

Interested in tracking your spending with me? Refer to my original post. http://1faithfulsteward.blogspot.com/2010/01/keep.html
Ok, this week actually cost me money. But I did purchase 9 packs of diapers (between Target and Walgreens) and 3 boxes of wipes, so that has to count for some of the cost. With 3 kids in diapers/pull-ups, we go through a LOT. I went to a different Rite Aid this week and the cashier was less than enthusiastic about my coupons and ended up not scanning two of them (which I didn't catch until I got home) and cost me an additional $4.
(At Rite Aid I purchased: 1 box Glad trash bags, 2 packs of 12 double-roll Quilted Northern toilet paper, 2 Edge shave gells, 2 Old Spice Red Zone deodorants, 1 Secret deodorant, 2 Head and Shoulders, 1 Maybeline masquera, 2 Toms of Maine deodorants, 4 Nature's Bounty vitamins, 2 Aveeno lotions.)
