Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 7/10 to 7/16

New to Rite Aid shopping? Visit the RiteAid page for more information.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

For those of you who haven't heard our news yet . . .  We have been matched for adoption (for more information on this, read the orange section of the most recent Shop 'n Save post - located directly below this post on the home page). We meet our soon-to-be son for the first time on Monday (7/11). With everything going on around my house right now, I think my brain is fried.  : )  Just let me know what I've missed . . .

Purchase #1

- $2/1 Select Noxzema Razors, exp. 7-17-11 (RP 07/10/11) = FREE

I will end up paying a total of $12.92 OOP for products with a sale value of $18.67 (that is, if I didn't have any +UP Rewards from previous weeks . . . which, of course, I do). I will have earned $12.69 in SCRs which will get sent to me in check form (that I can cash at the bank) at the end of the month. I will receive a MIR check for $0. And I will have $2 in +UP Rewards left for other purchases this week or next. That's like MAKEing $1.77 on products with a sale value of $18.67!

Shop 'n Save: Coupon Matchups 7/7 to 7/13

Previously I put together a post of all the things I found out about Shop 'n Save and their coupon policy.

Three main things that you need to take note of: (at least at the Cranberry Twp, PA Shop 'n Save)
     1. Shop 'n Save honors competitor's coupons. (grocery store coupons)
     2. Shop 'n Save doubles coupons up to $0.99. (A $0.75/1 coupon will double to $1.50/1.)
     3. DND coupons are not doubled.

The Kuhn's ad (at least Cranberry Twp, PA) has a $10/$100+ purchase coupon and a $5/$50+ purchase coupon this week that could be used at Shop 'n Save. Both coupons are valid July 6th-12th and are not good on milk, cigaretts, or other items prohibeted by law.

Also, Giant Eagle just sent out new coupons for $5/$50+ purchase coupons that could also be used at Shop 'n Save. The Pine Township Giant Eagle also sent out a FREE Market District Pasta ($2.50 value) coupon. Any ideas on which product this could be used for at Shop 'n Save.

I skipped doing the Shop 'n Save match-ups last week. We were supposed to get back from AL on Wednesday night and I had intended on doing them, but we didn't get back until Thursday night. With the weekend upon us and so much to catch up on having just been gone for a week, I decided to focus on the pressing things around my house that needed doing (so glad I did; keep reading) - like unpacking, laundry, restocking our fridge with essentials like milk and fresh produce, etc. Then on Tuesday we learned that we have been matched for adoption. What this means is that barring unforeseen circumstances, we will be adoption the child that we interviewed for the day before we left for AL. The county believes that we would be the best adoptive home for this child. Since Tuesday our home has been all excitement and semi-chaotic bustle. My husband and I will hopefully get to meet the child for the first time early next week. (So if I seem a little spacey - like more than normal, you'll know why.) Following the initial meeting will be a series of other meetings to introduce the child to our family and our home. All this is supposed to take place at a relatively rapid pace. I'll try to keep you updated, just know that the changes to our family will affect my coverage of Shop 'n Save. I'm going to try to put up a post every week, but I'm not going to be able to catch everything, so your comments and match-up help will be greatly appreciated. I'm so glad you feel free to answer each other's questions. I read all the comments, but I don't always have time to respond to them . . . and I'm afraid this will continue. (Noley87, I saw your comment last week and I wish I'd been able to get the match-ups out. Thanks for letting me know you are out there and thanks for the encouragement!)

Don't forget to load Shop 'n Save's eCoupons to your card!

(Couldn't find any current coupons out there for Ragu, but if you like Ragu . . .)

- Foodland coupon (in this week's ad; limit 1 per person) = $0.99/1 wyb $20 worth of other items.

Ad:

I just ran out of time tonight. I was really wanting to get this done, but I've got to get to bed. My day will probably be pretty busy until my kids go down for their naps late afternoon. I'll try to work on the match-ups then.

If you see any great "Manager's Specials" in the store, please share them with us (remember to note the Shop 'n Save where you were).
