End of the Month - Print Coupons

Wow, this year is flying by. We've had our first frost. The summer perennials are all gone. My garden is pretty barren now, with the exception of all the bright green lettuce spouts. They're not quite big enough to make a salad, but that should change this month providing the weather does not get too cold.
The end of the month means it's time to print any coupons you may want . . .

  • Coupon sites will reset their coupons with the beginning of the month. Many will be pulled down and new ones will take their place. Check out Coupons.comRedPlum.com, and Smartsource.com to view the current coupons and print out any you want before it's too late.
Particularly interesting are the $3/1 Similac Infant Formula, $1/1 Reach Floss, and the $1/1 Reach Toothbrush coupons which are on Coupons.com. All these should be FREE to almost FREE after coupon.

Giant Eagle deal that ends tomorrow....

Ok, one of those coupons that expires on 10/31.....

Buy 3 Tampax/Always products @ $8/3 (p. 12)
- (3) $2/1 Always coupons = $2/3
- $3 CAT wyb 3 = MAKE $1.00

If you don't have enough coupons, there are plenty of $1/1 coupons for both Tampax and Always in the 9/26 P&G. If you have 3 $1/1 coupons, you'll end up paying $2 for the 3 products.

Page 11: The Sinex deal from earlier in the month has also come around again...if you didn't use your $4/1 Sinex coupons from the 9/26 P&G, use 2 to buy 2 Sinex (Sale price $10/2), then get a $4 CAT OYNSO. Yay! A $2 moneymaker! :-)

All before November......wonder what a new month will hold?

Beginning this week, I am pleased to introduce a new weekly Walgreens' post! Natasha over at SavingABundle will be providing us with the Walgreens' deals and scenarios each week.

BWS tips button

Natasha currently lives in the Memphis area, although she is a true Idahoan at heart. She is married to the love of her life and they have been blessed with three boys and a fourth due in January. Even though she has always lived a frugal lifestyle, it was not until 2008 that she began couponing. She enjoys sharing her frugal ideas, couponing tips, recipes, and saving adventures at Saving A Bundle.

Rite Aid Deal and Transaction Scenarios 10/31 to 11/6

A couple of notes to start with:
  1. Make sure you know RiteAid'sCouponPolicy. Print out a copy to keep with you. This will be a great help when you get a cashier, or even a manager, who doesn't know the policy.
  2. Go to Rite Aid AdPerks to watch videos and earn Rite Aid Video Value coupons. You will be able to earn a $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon, as well as a coupon for each product for which you watch a video. While there does not appear to be a limit as to how many Video Values accounts you can have per address, your Wellness+ card will remember which coupons you have used (VV coupons with long barcodes only). You will only be allowed to use 1 coupon (with long barcode) per Wellness+ card per month. Once a coupon with a long barcode has been used, it can not be used again, not even on another Wellness+ card (it will beep at the register and say that it has already been redeemed). If you have a Video Value account and your husband has one too, then you are going to need two Wellness+ cards (one for him and one for you) in order to be able to use all the coupons.
  3. Remember to still print extra of the Video Values coupons with the short barcodes. (Rite Aid Video Values only allows you to choose to print the coupon one time. You can not go back and choose to print it again later. That being said, when you originally choose to print the coupon a print screen will pop up. On that print screen it has a place for you to type in how many times you want the page printed. (NOTE that the coupon is good for 2 months.) While all the Video Values coupons will print more than once. Some have a unique barcode that will only allow you to use the coupons once. Others can still be used more than once. The rule is - long barcode = only 1 use; short barcode = multiple uses.) For more information, please read my post HERE.
  4. Rite Aid rolled out their new program Wellness+ nationwide. If you haven't already done so, sign up for your rewards card online or in stores. You may also wish to consider getting your husband a Wellness+ card too. Starting August 1st all +UP Rewards will be tied to your Wellness+ card (ie, you can't share +UP Rewards with your friend - unless you also share your Wellness+ card). And the newest big news is that RA has stopped limiting the majority of the +UP Rewards. If a +UP Reward is limited, then it will be clearly stated. So, if one of your +UP Rewards does not print for some reason, make sure that you call and get it mailed to you.

    (Eric Harkreader)
  5. Print out EXTRA $5 off any purchase of $25 or more coupons HERE (exp. 12/31/10). Coupons will be blurry at first. Give them a minute to finish loading.

All my scenarios will reflect my personal goal to either make money or at least not to have spent any at the end of the month - after I get my Single Check Rebate, Rite Aid gift cards, and/or MIR checks.

**Unless otherwise indicated, there is a limit of one single check rebate per item.

Last week was a great week . . . for diapers, candy, and cheap makeup.

There are a lot of coupons which expire on the last day of October. You have only 1 day to take advantage of those deals! If RA is out of an item, then get a raincheck.

I've had to call RA corporate several times to get +UP Rewards straightened out. I LOVE the +UP Rewards that corporate sends. They don't expire until Jan. 15, 2011!

Below is a preview of the Rite Aid ad for next week. Please remember that ads and prices can vary some by region. You can see a larger version of the ad here. Thanks to IHeartRiteAid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember unless specifically stated in the ad, there are no limits on +UP Rewards.

Giant Eagle....sorry this took so long.....

Here are the highlights for this week. If you see any other fantastic deals, let me know.

  • Giant Eagle's ad runs from Thursday to Wednesday.
  • My GE doubles all coupons up to $0.99. (ie. a $0.75/1 coupon will double to $1.50/1)
  • Don't forget to load your GE card with Giant Eagle's EOffers and with e-coupons from ShortcutsandCellfire. (If the same coupon is on more than one site, only load one at a time. After you have redeemed/used the first coupon, then go back and load the next. If you load both to your card, you will loose one of them.)
  • Be careful with the CAT deals. If you do two of the same CAT deals in the same transaction, the CAT may not print. Check your ad to make sure that you separate like CAT deals into separate transactions.
  • Remember, you can order coupons that you don't have from a CouponClippingService.

Ok, there really is almost nothing cool this week. :-( Almost none of these are spelled out in the ad. Anyway, here's what I see:

Carolina Rice $1.00
- $0.50 8/29 RP or 10/24 RP (If you haven't used them already...otherwise, you could buy them on Ebay.)
= FREE

Dole Fruit Crisps $2.00
- $0.75 9/12 S
$0.50 CAT wyb 4
Buy 4 = $8.00/4 - $6.00 MFC
$2.00/4 - $0.50 CAT wyb 4 = $1.50/4
= $0.38/1
Not fabulous, but pretty good.

Tabisco sauce $1.50
- $0.75 9/19/S
= FREE

Egg Beaters $2.00
- $0.75
Printable
= $0.50/1

Bumble Bee tuna pouches $1.00
- $0.55/1 9/12 S
= FREE

Tic Tac $1.00
- $0.75 10/3 RP
= FREE

Also, eggs are $0.88/dozen...about as good as we get. Hope this is helpful!

Last Week's Shopping Trips

Last week was a pretty good week for me. I ran out to Giant Eagle on Wed. and bought a decent amount of stuff. (I forgot to take a picture of it before I put it up. And I just was not willing to pull it all out of the refrigerator, freezer, basement, and cabinets to photograph it, only to have to put it all back up again.) I purchased 8 Oscar Mayer bologna (w/ raincheck) 2 cans glory green beans (in two separate transactions - okay my son purchased 1 can . . .  2 customers), 9 cans Libby vegetables (corn and green beans), 1 pt. Giant Eagle yogurt (our sour cream substitute when there is not good sale on sour cream), 2 Ronzoni pastas, 6 San Giorgio quick cook pastas (w/raincheck), 1 head red lettuce, 1 cabbage, 2 lbs. grapes, and 2 lbs. bananas. I purchased everything in two separate transactions. Each transaction cost me a total of $0.58 OOP (I used previously earned CATs to bring my total down to just change.) I picked up more CATs for the Oscar Mayer bologna from customer service. Real cost to my family for all this was $9.02.

I went to Rite Aid on both Thursday and Saturday last week. On Thursday I got the diapers and all the Old Spice (top picture). My Rite Aid was out of the Simply Saline Children’s Nasal Mist, so I substituted the two toothbrushes (FREE after raincheck). I only made $0.01 on everything I bought on Thursday . . . but I figure I did okay.  : )

The other two pictures show what I picked up at Rite Aid on Saturday. My RA was out of a lot of items by Sat. so I had to get a TON of rainchecks. I ended up making $8.69 on everything you see in the last two pictures. The Gain, Udderly Smooth lotion, and toothbrushes were bought with a raincheck. There was no special sale on the Nivea creme, I just needed some cheap fillers ($0.95/1 after 20% Wellness+ discount).

(You'll notice that I have two Oscillococcinums and two Bee M.D.s. This is because I am helping another family with their Rite Aid SCR account and MIRs.)

All in all, it was a great week for me! The two big boxes of diapers are very helpful. My husband was on his last Old Spice deodorant (only kind he'll use) so this sale was very timely. I was excited to get the Vicks Baby Rub. And at the very beginning of last week, I got a request from someone for Theraflu if it ever was on sale. So, I was able to get them 4 Theraflu items for FREE.

Rite Aid November Video Value Coupons

The coupons in RED are multiple use/print coupons.
